Fiat Professional have taken the 2022 What Van? Awards by storm, with New Ducato being awarded the overall Van of the Year and Large Van of the Year.
Judges praised the New Ducato for its impressive technology offering, slick manual gearbox and its nine-speed auto transmission.
The New Ducato is the first ever commercial vehicle to benefit from level 2 autonomous Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), aimed at improving the driving experience while making the Ducato a safer environment for work or leisure.
Inclusion of technology like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Traffic Jam Assist provides independent assistance while driving and during acceleration and braking, enabling the New Ducato to achieve level 2 autonomous driving.
Additional standout technology features include speed limitation, braking control for unexpected obstacles such as pedestrians and cyclists, road sign recognition and driver attentiveness monitoring.
James Dallas, Editor, What Van? commented: “The Fiat Professional Ducato has often been underrated compared to some of its more celebrated rivals in the large van sector.
“Nevertheless, the Ducato continues to stand out with new technology such as level two autonomous Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a new manual gearbox and an excellent nine-speed auto transmission.”
“The New Ducato is good to drive, a practical load-lugger and remains the perfect antidote to badge-swapping repetition.”
